Daily Bird Feeding – Outside Park Reception
Join us at 9am every day outside Reception for the daily feeding of the stunning birds which live in and around the park. Enjoy the lorikeets, cockatoos and amazingly friendly ducks, and make the most of the fantastic photo opportunities!
And don’t miss the kookaburras… So friendly they’ll eat right out of your hands!
Bike and Walking Tracks – Around our park
Crystal Brook Tourist Park is surrounded by a range of bike and walking tracks with which to explore and enjoy the local wildlife and attractions.
Local Pub and Shops – 10 minute walk
There is a local pub and a range of shops all within comfortable walking distance.
Yarra Valley Wineries – 20 minute drive
The Yarra Valley is Victoria’s oldest vineyard region and is located just 20 minutes drive from Crystal Brook. It is considered one of the finest cool climate wine districts in the world. It is also home to over 70 cellar doors including some of Australia’s best known wineries. Many of these cellar doors also have fabulous restaurants showcasing the area’s huge variety of seasonal produce.
Yarra Valley Ranges – 20 minute drive
Venture into this charming area with everything from cool mountain ranges to fertile valleys. The local landscape is diverse and breathtaking. Explore the many national parks and gardens.
Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride over the Yarra Valley – 20 minute drive
Fly over the beautiful Yarra Valley and its vineyards, completing the experience with a sumptuous champagne breakfast at Ferguson Winery.
Heide Museum of Modern Art – 20 minute drive
Art exhibitions, gardens and sculpture park, plus Heide’s Cafe in beautiful surroundings.
Melbourne Central Business District (CBD) – 25 minute drive
Our park is only a short drive to Melbourne’s cosmopolitan CBD where there is always a myriad of events celebrating the best of Melbourne’s arts, culture, food, wine, fashion and sports to be enjoyed by all. And don’t forget the world-class shopping!
Sporting Arenas – 25 minute drive
The MCG, Etihad Stadium, Rod Laver Arena, Albert Park and Flemington are all within short trips of Crystal Brook Tourist Park, either by car or by public transport which leaves from the park entrance. The MCG and Rod Laver Arena also host guided tours which can be easily organised from our Reception.
Eureka Sky Deck – 30 minute drive
Experience the glass cube which projects 3 metres out from the building at the 88th level with you in it. Sky Deck operates 365 days per year.
Luna Park – 30 minute drive
“Just for Fun” is their motto! One of Melbourne’s favourite attractions for people of all ages. Carnival atmosphere with 17 rides including the Scenic Railway, the Carousel and the Ghost Train, the Enterprise, Pharoahs Curse, G-Force and Metropolis for thrill seekers. A games arcade adds fun to the entertainment.
National Gallery of Victoria – 30 minute drive
Since 1861, the National Gallery of Victoria has been displaying art works for the enjoyment of the whole community.
Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary – 30 minute drive
Tucked into the foothills of the stunning Yarra Valley, Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary is one of Australia’s most acclaimed wildlife sanctuaries. Showcasing more than 200 species of Australian wildlife, the sanctuary is a fantastic location to view native animals in their natural habitat.
Puffing Billy Railway – 35 minute drive
Australia’s favourite century old Steam Train is still running on its original mountain track from Belgrave to Gembrook in the scenic Dandenong Ranges. A must for adults and children alike. A great family day out in the Dandenong Ranges.
Funfields Amusement Park – 35 minute drive
Funfields is an outdoor family fun park with rides to suit all ages. Enjoy unlimited rides all day on all attractions including toboggans, go karts, waterslides and much, much more.
Dandenong Ranges – 40 minute drive
The Dandenong Ranges offers a unique range of tourism experiences all just 30 minutes drive from Crystal Brook Tourist Park.

Flemington Racecourse – 1 hour drive
Probably the most famous racecourse in Australia and home to the “the race that stops the nation”, the Melbourne Cup. Relive some of Australia’s greatest racing moments at the Flemington Heritage Centre, book a fantastic guided walking tour, or just enjoy some premier horse racing.

Good Food and Wine Show – June each year
Melbourne’s top food and wine show. Treat the taste buds, enjoy the free samples, talk to gourmet food producers and get some great gift ideas.
Melbourne International Film Festival – July to August each year
Enjoy this annual showcase of outstanding film making from Australia and around the world.
Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show – April each year
This world renowned event is regarded as the largest and most successful horticultural event in the Southern Hemisphere, rated among the top five flower and garden shows in the world.
St Andrews Community Craft Market – Every Saturday 8am – 2pm
Shop amongst the gum trees, with local art and crafts, fresh produce, clothes and jewellery. Ponies and face painting for the children.
Warrandyte Community Craft Market – 1st Sat of month 9am – 1pm
Around 120 stalls of homemade, home grown goods ranging from plants to hand spun knitted jumpers. An outdoor market set along the banks of the Yarra River.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground Tour
The MCG has played host to many great moments during its 153-year history. On non-event days, MCG Tours depart regularly from 10am until 3pm at Gate 3 in the Olympic Stand. See the stunning new MCC Museum and Library as part of your tour!
MCG and AFL World Combined Super Pass Tour
A combined tour of the MCG and AFL World is a unique footy experience! Highlights of the MCG Tour include: Ponsford Stand, Olympic Stand, coaches’ box, players’ change rooms (subject to availability), cricket viewing room, Long Room, Bill Lawry Cricket Centre, a walk on the arena (subject to availability), Ron Casey Media Centre. Highlights of the AFL World Tour include: Australian Football Hall of Fame, discover your AFL club’s history, kick for goal, become a sports writer and break the story of the round, learn how to prevent sports injuries, undertake the Walk of Fame.
Rod Laver Arena Guided Tours
Home of the Australian Open, one of Australia’s premier sports and entertainment precincts. Experience the thrill of walking onto Centre Court in the footsteps of the champions. See the players change rooms where top players prepare for victory. Go backstage and explore. Operates each day of the week.
Official ‘Neighbours’ Tour
See Ramsay Street and Erinsborough High – if you’re lucky you may even see some filming and the stars of the show on the day. On-board entertainment on the tourist bus. 3 hour tour, departs daily.
Shopping Spree Tours
Ladies (and gentlemen of course), you are invited on an exciting fun-filled day discovering fabulous factories and warehouses in Melbourne. Includes a stop for lunch at a great restaurant, sightseeing. Shop until you drop and let someone else do the driving, taking you to 8-10 factories and warehouses.
